It's a year ago today i had a confrontation with a manager of a well known petshop because they insisted on selling dwarf hamsters in pairs only after the first lockdown. They had too many and operated a Lucky Dip system by putting a cardboard box in the tank and whoever walked in first was taken out. The customer was asked to wait by the till which i refused to do.

Our diabetic dwarf had departed to the rainbow bridge only a couple of days before and his habitat was sitting there empty so i decided to take a dwarf home.

As it turned out, Ozzy is naturally a loner and likes nothing more than his own company. He doesn't like out of cage time so i let him decide how he wants to live his life.

Like Edwina's, his coat became a lot lighter and they look quite similar now aside from their size, Ozzy is bigger.
