Question "Rex Hamster" Eye can't open fully

Hello so recently my Syrian hamster Marnie has been waking up with her left eye just slightly closed but not all the way. I know that their is a thing called "Rex hamster" which don't know whether to use as a name for a condition or the condition itself so forgive my ignorance on the terminology, but basically it is when a hamsters eyelids get intertwined and when they wake up they cannot open their eye.

I was told by the breeder I received her from to gently wipe her eye with a warm damp cloth but she is only partially tamed and will flinch quite violently if I attempt to do that however carefully. Mostly she just follows the cloth and keeps turning her head trying to chew it lol. It doesn't seem to bother her too much but I would imagine that I should still try to help her out. This happened before, but when she groomed her face it released her eyelid. I certainly hope this is the case and she doesn't have some other issue though because vet bills are not cheap in my country.

Thanks if you read all of this and I'd like to know if you have ever dealt with a "Rex hamster?" in the past. Apparently their eyes get stuck more often when they are seniors but Marnie is definitely not a senior yet.
