I’m not sure of adding legs will tempt her to move in but it might, if the house is higher up, as it mimics a shelf then. I use ponal glue (a tip from the Germans). It’s very strong wood glue but non toxic snd no smells or fumes. It costs about £7 for a big bottle on Amazon. Used my bottle for years for all sorts
