I've read several times of hamsters being less social once their set up has been upgraded. They are solitary animals, so if their enclosure provides them with what they need, they don't really have a reason to bother with humans
Some do of course, and are great pets. You've only had your hamster for 3 months so I would encourage you to keep working on your bond and see what happens. But there is also the possibility that because you've provided him with a great set up, his needs are met and he is less interested in interacting with you. It is a bummer, but also a compliment about how well you treat him
