Unfortunately, quality can vary dramatically with that particular sand and as a result many people have had bad experiences. Some people here still use it despite that and luckily haven't had issues.
An alternative solution would be children's play sand - you'd have to rinse, sift, and bake that though so it isn't as convenient but it is a much better value.
