Default Re: New with hammsters

From what I have read, robos are the hardest to tame, i have had mine since Novemeber last year and he will gladly take food from me, and eat off a spoon whilst I am holding it, but he can soon zoom off and can still very easily be spooked. Apart from weighing him I have only tried one interaction with a cardboard box set up with lots of toys for him to play in, but it was so obvious he was just scared that I have never put him thru it again. He seems to be happy in his cage, so I leave him be. Some robos are like that.
Also, they can be very jumpy indeed, a good idea is to have a little travel cage or a tall/long jug type of thing to transport your hamster in if needed.

For now I would just stick to giving him snacks and see how it goes.
