Absolutely -- I have a big soft spot for syrians and I'm sure I won't have any issues loving her! I just wanted a hamster that would (in general -- it's never a sure thing, of course) have the best chance of being happy in an 800 square inch cage since we are likely moving house this year and I didn't want to have to make another cage that I would have to move. But I think her advanced age will be a point in the cage's favor. Either way, I'll do whatever I can to make her happy even if it inconveniences me a little
