Smile Re: New Syrian taming - am I doing it ok?

Hiya, congratulations on your new hamster! It's recommended that you let hamsters settle for 3 weeks before starting the taming process as they have a lot to get used to when they move to a new home. As you said, you don't want to rush anything. It's difficult because they're so cute and you can't wait to play with them but it will be worth it in the end. Try ruffling his bedding so your scent gets on his bedding. I've noticed its been around 3 weeks since you've had him now so hopefully you can start taming him now. I don't really know how it works when trying to tame a hamster with a child, someone else might. But I would recommend your son ruffling the bedding as well and doing what you're doing as well and then doing the bath tub. Let me know how you've got on!
