Hello and welcome. What size is the tank? As in length, width depth. It sounds a reasonable size. They need plenty of enrichment - at least 4 to 6" deep substrate, a shelf or platform ideally (overhead cover to sit under and climb on), plenty of hidey places - tunnels etc. And a big house that is dark inside for building a big nest. Plus a 28cm wheel. See how he goes. I'd recommend not cleaning him out or changing anything much for the next two weeks as it takes that long for them to settle and adust to a cage. Although adding something new tends to be accepted well without stressing them.
