I saw three different vets until i spoke to one i felt confident in so i know what you mean.
I had to administer the antibiotic via a syringe with a drop of Ribena to make sure my hamster got the full dose. He got used to it and was ok with it.
Didn't know that it can be put in water. I'd ask for a different vet next time if you're not confident with this one but if its an abcess she'll need the antibiotics anyway. Hopefuly it wil get smaller after a week.
