I've just been to a petsathome and they had hamsters for sale. There's even a dwarf in the adoption centre today. The tanks are cordened off so people can't get close without a shop assistant.
I enquired about buying hamsters and was told that because of the covid situation people are not allowed to handle them before buying but can point one out.
