Yes there was definitely a lot of whisker twitching and he was looking right at the table where his cage had been. Thank you for reminding me of that nice memory
. There was the synchronised drinking as well. They had been out of sync for some time when Moo was failing but I think hamsters must be able to sense something when one is dying.
I just don’t want to be overrun with moths! Hope I don’t find any more.
Strangely I have noticed on both occasions that the hamster doesn’t eat them or even react to sharing their nest with the larvae and the odd moth. There is no abandoning the nest or squeaking and running away - they just seem unfazed.
