Default Re: Guinea pig bite

I had a guinea pig in the 70's who lived alone because neither my parents or i knew that they should be kept in pairs.

He was fine and happy but very fixated on my mother who spoilt him rotten and spent a lot of time with him. He lived in the kitchen and had the lounge to free roam in.

One day he became aggressive and bit my mother so we knew that he had taken ill.
The vet did various tests and diagnosed a brain tumor. He tried painkillers but Mops was still in pain so was put to sleep.

We all live and learn and next time you decide to get a piggy you will have done your research, get a bonded pair and take them to the vet when you suspect them to be unwell.
