Default Re: Syrian loss of use of hind legs - any ideas for wheelchair??

How old is your hamster? A stroke could be possible and sometimes the paralysis can lessen but sometimes it can remain. When a hamster has mobility issues like this, I always discuss with my vet the likelihood they are in pain and weigh up quality of life. As prey animals they hide pain well so it can be tricky knowing and of course none of us want our little furbubs to be in pain. Other things I weigh up is the level of hygiene the hammy is managing to maintain. A dirty belly or smelly fur, sores from dragging legs can all become quite sore and even turn into ulcers. Do you have a little video at all?
