As mentioned above, the Rub bins are supposed to be much easier to cut than most bins. The roof is quite flat too so you would want to cut out the whole top panel, just leaving the rim, and mesh that. To attach mesh, people either tape it on the outside with masking tape. Or punch holes with a soldering iron and attach the mesh through the holes with cable ties.
