I have a two year old fancy Syrian hamster named, Kepler. Since the day I brought him home he has loved to snuggle and sleep on my husband and I. He also is able to open his cage door as the latch broken, but he has never left his cage. He will open the door and wait for either my husband or I to place our hands down for him to climb into. He will then snuggle close to our chests and lay/cuddle for hours. He does this during the day and at night when he is up running on his wheel. When I let him run around the house, he always runs to wherever I am, climbs up me and snuggles up. I have read that Syrians prefer to be alone and are not usually like this. So I am wondering if this is normal or have any of you experienced this? He is an extreme cuddle bug and we love him so much!
