Does she seem bloated at all?
The purple blotches are behind her nipples there which is why it looks like a pattern. I think she looks to have something going on inside causing pressure in the abdomen which will be pushing against her diaphragm causing the panting. It is harder for her to breathe with this. Most common cause is a pyometra or womb infection and other causes are tumours in bowel, kidneys or reproductive tract and heart failure which causes the fluid to gather in the abdomen. It looks like there may be some bruising behind the skin which is the purple colour which might indicate internal bleeding. These things do not tend to be treatable sadly so you need to watch closely for signs of pain and her going downhill. I'm sorry she is going through this but don't delay having her seen again as Christmas is near and you don't want a critical emergency which is very costly.
