I’ve found some hams really prefer to just do their own thing at night or in the evening but are happy to interact in the morning or during the day, sounds like your ham may be a bit like that, if you’re getting to interact with her during the day I’d stop staying up late, once she realises she can come out & what she likes earlier in the night she might begin to come out when you’re around.
