It is tricky, if your ham is very wriggly it’s probably best to just do one or two at a time, I’ve never tried it but some people put the ham in a sieve so the nails poke through to trim them safely, you could try swaddling her in a towel, might make it a little easier to hold her still.
Rocks in the cage don’t really work, a sand bath can help to keep them trim & other rough surfaces like wood or granite (not stones but tiles like the chinchilla cooling tiles) but once they’ve got a bit overgrown nothing will wear them down really.
