It's that time of year again when it's getting colder and overnight frosts starting. So just a reminder to make sure your hamsters don't get too cold. They are very sensitive to cold (and also to too much heat). Ideally a room temperature of 20 degrees keeps them comfortable but overnight when the heating is off it can get very cold. Lots of people have added tips on previous threads so it could be helpful to have them added again

I have a small oil filled radiator with a thermostat that comes on when the temperature gets below 18 to 20 degrees for overnight. On a frosty night it can get extremely cold, depending on your home. People also use snugglesafe microwave things above or below the cage.

Also important to make sure they have plenty of paper nesting material and can build a big cosy nest for winter.
