I generally leave the nest alone as much as possible if it doesn’t get peed in, check any stashed once in a while in case any fresh food has been put in there but otherwise I wouldn’t touch it for at least a month & then maybe refresh some of the substrate but definitely not all & if the hoard is getting a bit old replace some of that with fresh dry food, they eat from the hoard so it doesn’t really need doing often at all.
If the nest gets peed in I just remove any damp or smelly substrate but keep it to the minimum each time & leave the rest untouched.
