I have a Russian and she doesn't smell at all. Some people say the females smell when in heat but I haven't noticed that so far. The urine smells a bit, especially when she pees on the wheel but it's not bad at all. She's quite tidy and only pees in one room in her house and the wheel. She smells a lot less than my past Robo who had a very peculiar, musty smell.
