Hello and welcome to the forum.

Firstly, your hamsters will NOT be missing each other. I assume they are syrians and as you have rightly said, they should be kept alone.

It may be that the one that got bullied is a bit withdrawn and nervous, having had the experience of that and a new environment.

Some hamsters adapt to new home quicker than others and they have different temprements...some like wheels, some like digging.. it is all normal.

I'd focus on sorting them both out suitable cages then work on hand taming and letting them settle in to the family
