Default Re: Freezing Hamster Food

It might be ok after a couple of days - I can't remember where I read - leave it a week to kill moth eggs. But to be on the safe side I leave it a week! There are various articles on the internet - for all pet foods re moth eggs (fairly gross reading) that usually say a week in the freezer. After having an outbreak of moths before I'm not taking any chances! I have sometimes got some food out of the bag in the freezer after a couple of days - when I've run out and the bag hasn't had a week yet - and didn't have a problem but could have been luck as I just did it for a days amount for a few days. And hot weather (and warm houses in winter) are when things hatch out usually.
