I honestly can't believe none of you twigged what I was doing when I asked about this cage, but I got this for a hamster that is not a syrian
ohhh who would have ever thought I would move away from syrian hamsters (not me), they are still my favourite hamster but I thought I would try a different species. Anyway, here are a few videos that I thought might be helpful, unboxing and putting the cage together (on my own!!! it can be done)

This is me setting it up with some new items. I might do a separate post re the special hide I bought. It is just gorgeous.

I really like the cage, it is very solid and heavy, love the lid opening/closing mechanism, they say that 2 people needed to put it together, I managed to do it on my own slow and steady, and had to find a way to manage that - by pressing it up against something solid, to hold it in place.
I have changed a few things around since filming, and i will post some photos later and then if anyone has any advice for me or think I have left something out I am open to friendly advice.
At the moment I am not 100% sure what I am adopting, but obviously it will be some sort of smaller hamster, I will keep you posted when I know
