I did add a glass container with sand and a little plant pot a couple weeks ago and I leave it in the fridge for half an hour a couple times per day but he just uses it a new and bigger toilet
I also changed the bedding in half of his cage to coconut soil and he seems to enjoy it a ton as he sleeps in that area like 90% of the time so I hope this helps him with the heat, we are around 30ºC every single day and it really worries me!
