Default Re: diarreah

It won't be true wet tail as that does not affect older hamsters like dewey.
The most likely cause is eating something he is not used to or eating too much veg. Keep him on dry foods only for a few days and see how it goes whilst watching him very closely.
The poo they eat is softer and muddy coloured so you may have startled him whilst he was passing this?
Check his cage for any 'mouldy' uneaten wet food and and make sure his bed is clean and dry. Look for any normal poos to establish if it is a one of and then feel his tum for any swelling, bumps or lumps, squishy bloatiness and if you feel anything I would see a vet with him.
If it has cleared up then great and just feed veg in very tiny bits.
Hope he is well soon.
