Hi guys. So remember all my posts about my doubts and stuff.
It turns out that, my mom, my boyfriend and my cousin we’re preparing me a surprise.
I wanted the hamster, but my ideia was to buy the hámster myself. But my cousin wanted to give me an hamster, because she wasn’t able to give a chinchila when I wanted one a couple years ago, and she gave the hamster as a birthday present (which was on 22th of June, I turned 20y)
They’ve all been talking to one another to make me this surprise, and so yesterday around 21 p.m., she came to my house with this cute robo, that I immediately fell in love with, and so did everyone else. It’s just the most adorable creature in the hole world.
I don’t have the wood cage prepared yet, the only thing that’s left is the mesh, on the sides, the lid, that’s going to have mesh as well, and the acrylic sheet (we’re still looking for it, but it will be ready by tomorrow ou even today)
And for a temporary cage, I arranged the box I bought initially and put the two substrates I bought, and all the other stuff to make him as comfortable as possible. I will leave the box without the lid, cause it doesn’t have any mesh yet.
I’m happy that he came before the cage was ready, because now I now that I need more substrate, another wheel because the one I bought is way big for him at least for now, and another water drinker because the one I bought was leaking water nonstop and that’s not supposed to right? ( I found a way to put water on a little lid, and a cup on top, so that he wouldn’t jump in to the water and could only be able to drink from it )
I’m also going to buy more stuff, such as tubes, toys, a bendy bridge etc...
Today! I will just let you all now he or she, as already settled in the temporary cage in the night, and for what it seems, it’s well and very energetic.
(I will try to put the pictures correctly for you to see him/her.)
Still don’t have a name because I don’t know if it’s a she or a he
Another question, can you tell me the age? The hamster seems to be a baby but I’m not sure when was born or an estimated of the weeks it possibly has... if anyone who is more experienced could help, I would be glad, because I’m curious. I’ll also try to take more pictures, and better ones, and one of the belly, so you can tell me if it’s a boy or a girl... and I’ll post as soon as possible.
(The wheel had a popsicle and a cardboard stripe on it because he couldn’t run without it, because the wheel wasn’t balanced and it didn’t let him run...
He played with the wheel before we got to sleep, because we took it off, just in case he could get trapped in the glue tape my dad used to hold those things to the wheel)
