Default Re: How do I safely take something out of my hamster's mouth?

Has he always bitten you or is it something recent? Rubber gloves don't give you much protection and they're ruined once punctured. I used gardening gloves at the start of taming my Syrian when i didn't trust him enough to handle him bare handed. Also, with a gardening glove that's not so tight fitting you can slip your hand out at any time. The boy may run off with the glove but you can retrieve it when he lets go.
How often do you handle him and when do you handle him? If your boy is anything like my Syrian it can only happen on his terms, like when He is in the mood and not when i would like to interact with him.
