Default Re: Foster hamsters

I currently have a young wild bird living in a hamster transport box with Rodipet scoops acting as a water and food dish! Whatever next.
I found it on its back on the patio, unable to move and stunned. There's a nest under the roof and it either fell out or was kicked out, no idea what happened.
I had to move it so the neighbourhood cats wouldn't kill it so put it in a basket in a tree, watched and checked for a few hours but the parents didn't feed it. Quite a commotion with lots of tweeting and that was it. I think they abandoned it so i took it in.
I think its injured but unexpectantly survived the night so have to wait and see if it recovers or not.
