Lilliput’s Charlotte-May at Metallica
(14th April 2018 - 2nd June 2020)
Today I said goodbye to my beloved Charlotte, a hamster that started her life at Metallica Hamstery as a shy baby. In time she became one of the biggest and most confident characters of the hamstery, never failing to make me laugh with her cheekiness.
Charlotte came home with me from the AGM of the National Hamster Council in 2018 as a planned wife for Lord Jack but following an incident during a planned mating with Jack‘s father James, Charlotte decided that she didn’t like boy hamsters much and she remained as a pet until rejoining the show team in September last year.
Charlotte suffered a short but aggressive illness and after deciding that it was in her best interests to have her put to sleep yesterday, I made sure that her final day was as special as I could.
