I've been given hamster books when i got my first hamster and found them utterly useless and outdated.

I had books about Syrian and dwarf hamsters and was appalled by the photos of tiny cages and text written by so called experts advising weekly cage cleans etc.

I put the books in the recycling bin because they weren't fit to be given to the charity shops.
