Herbs particularly those with medicinal qualities should only be given in very small amounts so I would suggest just scattering a tiny bit of one or another in the cage separately from the food & not daily. Just a pinch of something now & then or a fresh leaf once in a while.
I wouldn't feed raw rice, a little cooked rice as a treat once in a while if they like it but otherwise I don't see that rice really has a place in a ham diet, same goes for pasta really.
