Hamster Central - View Single Post - My hamster sleeping all night and day, and not eating

Hi,

I have a male, short haired Syrian hamster who is 1 year and 5 month old.

I woke up this morning to notice my hamster is in the exact same place as he was when he went to sleep last night. I always leave different treats spotted around his cage...for 2/3 days and night he hasn’t touched any so I tried different ones. I give him some apple and cucumber yesterday which he ate.

His eyes have been closed for 2 days now and I have bathed them with warm sterilised water and a cotton pad until his eyes was open.

Please can someone help and give me advice. Do I take him to the vet? Or give him another few days to see how he goes?
