Re: Forage Feeding
I read once that foraging gives them self-esteem as it makes them feel like they're going out and earning it as they would in the wild. Don't know it that is true, but I'm a big believer in the method. I scatter a certain amount around his cage and then will hide little "treasure piles" in various tunnels or ledges. I change it up each day. Over time, I have noticed that he likes to forage in certain parts of his cage more than others so I tend to leave more in those area's. From what I can tell from watching him, he loves hunting around for his food. His treats though are another matter - those he expects to be hand-fed to him! LOL
