A 4kg bag isn't very much. I also get the 10kg bag - a third of it fills a 100cm cage (about 833 square inches) if filling the cage from scratch and full to the brim of the base. After that the bag lasts about 6 months or more with spot cleaning and a couple of substrate changes. The 10kg bag is also much better value - its not massively big to store, especially once you've started using it.
