I would personally be concerned with potential fumes from the bathroom and laundry room that could possibly cause harm to your hamster(whether irritating their nose or being toxic).

Do you have any other pets? If you have any other pets, in particular predators such as dogs and cats, you cannot keep them in the same room or anywhere with access - there has to be a secure door between hamsters and any potential predator!
