Slightly freaking out a bit at the moment! We bought this cage as the base fits well on to the cupboard we are putting it on, a lot of the other cages are a bit too wide, and bought the taller one so we could fit a large wheel on a shelf without losing too much floor space (they do a lower height model). We set it up with two shelves really low down, just above the base, while our hamster is still little and we didn’t want her climbing all over the place just yet. Well within 24 hours of us bringing her home, she has twice climbed the bars right up to the top of the cage (at least I only saw her so it twice, who knows what she did while we are in bed!), climbing on top of the tunnel, the little house and wheel like some crazy little daredevil! Need to make safety alterations ASAP!!!
