Thank you to everybody for all your kind messages. This is a truly caring community of good people and I am very grateful for all your messages of condolence and your words of kindness.

I buried Monty today in a quiet corner of the garden next to our other dear little beloved hamster Admiral Lord Nelson who passed away last October. I regularly put flowers on the Admiral's grave and will do the same with Monty's.

The hamster room feels very empty without Monty's big personality and it will take a long time to get over her passing. She really was the purest soul I've ever met.
