I would agree with Bubb that keeping multiple hamsters is something to be quite careful with. If you do want to have a pair, I would recommend getting them from a breeder rather than a pet shop or a rescue, because, just going off of anecdotal evidence I've found online, breeders seem to have much more success keeping pairs and groups of hamsters. Pet shop hamsters, for whatever reason, don't seem to do as well together.
