I'm looking to get another hamster. Previously I had a dwarf called Mercury, however due to her passing I'm looking to get another hamster. I'm looking at getting a male Syrian (as apparently they are calmer and less likely to have cafe aggression, bar bite etc) however I've never owned one before. I have the Barney cage which is around 830sq inches iirc. Will this be enough space for a Syrian to live, with almost daily playtime outside of the cage(once tamed)? I need to know as I'm planning on getting a hamster in a few weeks and if I can't provide enough space for a Syrian I will instead get a dwarf. I don't have the space for a larger cage, and I can't get any cage extentions either, so providing more space unfortunately isn't an option. Thank you
