My Robo used to have the 6.5in Kaytee Silent Spinner and it run very smoothly. Which size do you have? I'd check the adjustment at the back of the wheel.

Robos eat very little and ours never empties his dish even though i only feed a small scoop daily. Yours must be hoarding it somewhere, which is what they do, to go through two spoonfulls and i don't know the answer about feeding more. You could additionally give him some dried mealworms, brown linseeds, a couple of sunflower or pumpkin seeds and hide it somewhere for him to sniff it out. Tiny pieces of cucumber they like too.

You have an unusual hamster. Did you get him from a pet shop or a breeder? I'm just wondering what his behaviour was like prior to moving in with you.

I have a dwarf who has behavioural issues of a different nature and he was a bit crazy when i adopted him. He has calmed down, still has issues but that's just the way he is.
