Excellent! I certainly didn't want my future hamster rolling in smelly, soggy sand while I slept so that's really pleasing to hear.

I actually forgot to ask the forum about cork logs too. I was wondering if I could buy a large cork log and cut it down the middle length ways to make 2 hides. Is that possible or is cork pretty weak and likely to disintegrate if cut length ways/with the grain?
