My Dwarves have been eating Harry Hamster recentely as I'd bought it for my diabetics but now need to use it up and they manage with it just fine. Even my tiny harvest mice have managed to eat some of it on occasions.

I know that a lot of people prefer to buy dwarf specific mixes because of the size of the pieces but don't worry, there's no reason why a hamster with a healthy set of teeth can't manage the larger pieces that are in other mixes and the larger pieces can actually help to wear the teeth down.
