They do sometimes do this "freeze" thing. I've seen it while they're walking around out of the cage - just freeze and stay in the same position for ages. Makes you wonder what they're thinking about! Maybe he was just relaxed and dopey and enjoying the stroking time. They can be very active at certain times of day and a bit dopey at other times of the evening.
