Thank you for your replies. She was definitely loved during her short life. I just wish we had had more time together.

I bought her from my local Pets at Home. The hamsters there seemed well cared for, although I have no idea what sort of conditions they were kept in before they arrive in the store. I know a hamster breeder might have been a better place, but I don’t think there were any local to me.

I miss her so much. It has been comforting to look at pictures of her and a couple of videos that I had recorded of her running around and climbing in her cage. I'd love another hamster, but I think it will be a little while before I'm ready.
