Hi there,

I adopted a Syrian hamster (first hamster!) 2 weeks ago and have since realised after reading up more that her cage is not big enough despite what the pet shop told me! So I am buying a new one this weekend and was looking at getting the Savic Plaza as have seen some good reviews on the forum. However, I have noticed my hamster has been chewing on the bars quite a bit at night and am aware this is likely due to boredom (she doesn't seem stressed in other ways and has settled in really well) so I'm hoping that having the bigger cage will help with this. However if my hamster has a tendency to chew bars now, will she continue to do this with any cage regardless of size and so would I be better looking at tank style homes for her?
