My Mother always thought me rather eccentric for keeping hamsters (and other small pets). I am in my 50s and was a carer for my Mother, living with her and all my pets.
She could appreciate their sweetness but didnt really value them in the way that she valued dogs and cats.
It takes all sorts.
Lucky Waffle to have such a caring owner who is willing to learn.
