The plastic edges of exo terra are super tough. I had a gerbil who was a super chewer in mine between Dali and Eddie and there's not even a scratch to the plastic. I've not looked as far west as Liverpool for second hand exo terra but have seen some between £50-100 on second hand selling sites like gumtree and preloved recently, just keep an eye out. And if you have a friend/family member with a car, they do fit on the back seat. It may also be worth an ask on Freecycle/freegle for a fish tank. Lots of people will deliver locally for petrol money on there if you ask politely.
