Toilet sand suggestions
Hi everyone,
Since we got our Syrian Annabel we have been using a specific type of toilet sand from a shop called Denher (we live in Germany). It's a dark grey colour and sort of like cat litter maybe? It's not as fine as bathing sand and seems to be grittier. Anyway they seem to have discontinued it and there is nowhere else that seems to do something like this.
Does anyone have any ideas on an alternative we can use? She has a big bowl filled with bathing sand which she will bathe in but she does not go to the toilet in it. What does everyone else use for their hamster's toilet?
I am attaching a picture of what her old toilet sand looked like. We asked someone at a pet shop if they had anything similar but all the suggested was cat litter which we don't know much about/ if it is safe to use for her.
